I saw New Moon at midnight and I LOVED it! It def exceeded my expectations, and I think they did an excellent job of translating the book to the screen. The wolves were done very well, although they were much bigger than I expected. The movie did move rather fast, but it was an overall awesome movie! I can't wait to see it again.
I saw New Moon at midnight, and it was awesome!! I got to the movie theater around 10:45, and I still got seats with the dozen other people I came with. I was surprised that I didn't see people with the books or people that were really dressed up! I saw some t-shirts, and I had my homemade Team Edward button. The previews before the movie were (no surprise) Summit Entertainment movies that are coming out soon. I really want to see Remember Me, and Dear John now! I will most likely be crying my eyes out during Dear John.
There were things that I loved, and really didn't like about the movie.

Happy early Halloween!
Just finished watching Vampire Diaries, and it was an amazing episode! My thoughts on it are here
( under the cut )
Went to Blockbuster today, since it is going out of business in my area, and everything and I mean everything including the shelving units, are for sale! I got part of Gossip Girl Season 2 (discs 1 and 2), and I will check back often for the rest of the discs. I'm also looking for the TV mini series Into the West on DVD there. I wanted to buy these little posters that were used to promote the DVDs, but you had to buy a minimum of 20, and I only wanted 2 GG ones. : /
Anyone watching Degrassi this season, and would like to catch me up? I'm starting to lose interest with the new, much younger cast, and I don't have enough time to watch it.
Less than 1 month till New Moon, and I still need my ticket for the midnight showing.

Just watched the Degrassi Season 9 (!) premiere! I can't believe it's been 9 seasons already. I keep thinking that each season is going to be worse than the past one, but the season 9 opener was actually pretty good. There are a lot of new characters this season, including a new girl in 9th grade who looks like she'll be stealing Clare's boyfriend KC! The new girl (can't remember her name, but she's a pretty good singer), said she had a reputation at her old school for being a boyfriend stealer and she has a thing for bad boys, ie KC (he does have a parole officer after all!). The new girl seems to want to be Clare's friend just so she can steal KC away from her- I can see this plot line coming from a mile away! Nina is also being taken off Degrassi to do VD , a really great show so I'm not too upset that Nina is leaving Degrassi, by landing a modeling contract in Paris. I find this completely unrealistic seeing as she has a 4 year old daughter, and high school to complete, but this is Degrassi so anything can happen. Peter gets addicted to crystal meth briefly, and his addiction may or may not show up again on the show. I was very proud of the writers for including Spinner in an arm sling, seeing as he got shot in the arm last season. Usually the writers aren't this good with continuity on Degrassi! Towards the end of the episode, during a commercial break, Jamie Johnson (Peter) did a public service announcement on the harmful effects of crystal meth. It looked waaay over scripted, and was actually painful to watch. Semi looking forward to next week's episode. Next week's epp involves Alli sending naked photos to her BF's cell phone, and then he sends the photos to his friends. I think the writers must be on meth because this plot has been done twice before, first with Manny, and then with Darcy! They seriously need new ideas!
Completely unrelated, but I believe KStew is going to be on the latest issue of Seventeen, and I conviently have a subscription to Seventeen! Can't wait for that issue to come!

Last night I watched Vampire Diaries for the first time, and I'm completely hooked! I only watched the first two epps (so no ep 3 spoilers please!), and they were awesome! Episode 2 ended with a cliff hanger, so now I can't wait to watch episode 3. To top it all off, the actors who play Jeremy, Stefan, and Damon are hot! It's funny though, I looked it up last night, and the actor who plays Elena's younger brother is actually older than the actress who plays Elena. Also, the actress who plays Elena is a Degrassi alum. I wonder how she'll be written out of Degrassi... The music on VD is also really great, I found a website last night that lists all the songs featured on the show, so I was looking them up on iTunes, and YouTube. They should come out with a soundtrack of the songs featured on VD, I'd buy it. I am also going to buy my New Moon ticket very soon! I found people to go with to the midnight showing, and I seriously can't wait for November 20!
I also watched Gossip Girl last night too. Not everyone has watched it yet, so my thoughts on the episode/spoliers are ( under the cut )

My dream job would be to one day work in a museum such as the Smithsonian's American History Museum or Museum of the American Indian, specifically with their collections. It's tough to get a job at those places, but I'll work hard! If all us fails, I'll look for a job in the American West, since I like history of the American West a lot.
Ok I've noticed that my last 3 posts have been writer's block posts- I need to be more original here! On another note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLA!!!!!! I think she would be 22 today if she wasn't a vampire. Can't wait for the VMAs tonight, supposedly the New Moon trailer being shown tonight is longer than the trailer that has been recently circulating around. I really hope that's true. I got an e-mail from Fandango the other day, and it told me that tickets to the midnight showing of New Moon are on sale now for my local movie theater! I'm not sure if I should get my ticket now, (it is still September after all), or if I should wait until November. I really don't want it to sell out!! I'm also not 100% sure that I have someone to go with, and I have a 12-15 page paper due November 20. Decisions, decisions...
Well I definitely would not not date someone just because we had clashing astrological signs, that would be a stupid reason not to date someone, and who knows, you might miss out on a perfectly good relationship. Now if a psychic told me to not leave home, I would still leave home, and still go to that party, but I might be more careful about what I do, and be more aware of my surroundings. Although, if I really did not want to go to that party, I might use that psychic's warning as an excuse not to go, lol!
Most def the beach! At the beach you can get in the water to cool off if you get too hot. Also, you can get a tan at the beach, not something you can do at the movie theater. Just don't stay out in the sun too long- you will get burned (even if you put on sun tan lotion), and I am speaking from recent first hand experience!
I have tried to boycott things/places but I am not very good at sticking to it. For example CBS. I was hopping mad when they canceled Joan of Arcadia, but I gave up that boycott when Survivor came back on that Fall. I really will boycott CBS if they ever cancel Survivor though. I've also been tempted to boycott WalMart too because they're building a new store basically right on top of a Civil War battlefield-not cool, not cool at all. Target is better than WalMart anyways.
I recently put my New Moon poster up on my wall. It looks amazing!!! It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but that's perfectly fine with me. Thank you Hot Topic for selling such a wonderful poster! Whenever I walk by it, I stare at it for a couple of seconds, and smile, and remind myself that the movie will be coming out soon. I can't wait for the movie, but the sneak peeks of it that keep popping up on the internet and magazines will have to tide me over until November 20. And I will be seeing it at midnight, no ifs, ands, or buts! I have never seen a movie at midnight before, so this will be exciting for me!
I recently saw the photos of how the Volturi will look, and i'm quite pleased with their look. They look very sinister, and do so in a convincing way. Now I haven't seen them act yet, so I can't say they're exactly how I imagine the Volturi to be.
Tried to download a Twilight fan mix, but for some reason it didn't work, it was a zip file, so maybe that had something to do with it?? I'm terrible with technology, even basic stuff like that.
School has started up again, so I don't have as much time as I did over the summer to dedicate to LJ, so please don't friend cut me if I don't post in this journal for a while. I'm still interested, but with less time than before!

Ugg, can't watch Degrassi Goes Hollywood tomorrow night because my mom needs BOTH TVs to tape the Neil Diamond concert special, and our TVs you can't tape a show and watch something else. Hopefully it will be on again!

I love Twilight, I really do, but some of the Twilight merchandise is just too much! Today, I saw online that there are going to be Edward and Bella Barbie dolls!!! From the pictures I've seen of them, the Bella doll just looks like any ordinary Barbie doll with brown hair, but the Edward doll looks a bit more like its real life counterpart. If I was 12, I would probably buy those Barbie dolls, since I still played with my Barbies when I was 12! All the Twilight stuff I really want are a poster or two, the books, and maybe some Twilight magazines, and of course the soundtracks. I guess I'm too old to fully appreciate the other Twilight merchandise like throw blankets, pillow cases, candy etc. Although, I did see a grown woman at my job a couple weeks ago wearing a Twilight t-shirt. She said it was her 16 year old daughter's shirt, but I think she was too embarressed to admit to me that she likes Twilight.
Watched a special on Reelz network last night on the Twi Con when it was in Dallas. Very interesting to see what goes on at the Twi Cons. I think Reelz network is showing a Twilight special every Tuesday night for the next couple of weeks.
Can't wait for Friday, aka the premire of Degrassi Goes Hollywood!

Ok so my laptop not playing DVDs problem might resolved-sort of. Fixing it involves having the neighborhood tech guy look at my computer, and the neighborhood tech guy is the guy who teased me and called me names in the fourth grade! Oh joy! Hopefully things will not be awkward. For all I know, he's forgotten about teasing me, and I just remember it still because it was painful for me. I think the problem is (from the basic research I've done on the good ol Internet), that I don't have a the driver or hardware or something for the DVD player function on my laptop. My laptop had to be completely wiped clean back in January because it was not working for some odd reason, and I guess the DVD software wasn't put back on.
I would probably put some money in it, maybe $50, and see how far it will get me in 50 years. I would also include some stuff related to Twilight, Degrassi, and Gossip Girl, so I'll remember which fandoms I used to obsess over. I would put today's newspaper, and probably my personal journal so I would know what I was thinking about in 2009. Finally, I would write a letter to myself saying what I like now, what my life goals are, etc., so I can see how I have changed over the years. My best friend and I made a time capsule about 9 years ago, and buried in my backyard, maybe it's time for us to dig it up-if we can remember where exactly we buried it, lol!
I can't believe that I once wrote off the whole Twilight series as lame and cliche! Last summer I remember seeing a sign at my local Barnes and Noble for the Breaking Dawn release party which was a goth prom theme, and I thought to myself I would never be caught dead at one of those parties! Now I have seen the light, and if there was another Twilight book coming out I would most def be at the release party. I guess I'll have to settle for the DVD release parties now. What was I thinking last summer? Not much apparently!
All I wanted to do tonight was watch Twilight on my laptop, but oh no, I can't b/c my laptop won't let me for some odd reason. In the past, something like Power DVD has come up to play DVDs, but now my only choice is Windows Media Player, and to get DVDs to play there, I have to buy some add on from Windows! What is wrong with my laptop? I seriously hope I didn't mess up my Twilight DVDs, otherwise I will be very upset!! Maybe this is a sign from up above telling me I should go to bed instead of staying up late watching Twilight...

Most def Edward Cullen! He's dazzling!
Last night I watched 13 Going on 30 and Speak with
sherrilina . Both great movies, but one part of 13 Going on 30 is really bothering me. In the beginning, young Jenna is reading Poise magazine and looking at the models, and one of the models looked like Kelly Rutherford, aka Lily Bass in Gossip Girl! I must find out if that really was her. Kristen Stewart and Michael Angarano were really cute together in Speak. I can't believe they met on the set of Speak 5 years ago, and are still dating, well depending on which tabloid you read! According to the ones I've seen at the grocery store, she's leaving Michael for RPatzz!!! It makes feel sad to think that she might be leaving her first boyfriend, and of 5 years for Rob. Rob is cute, but still. Oh well, if Michael needs someone else to date, I'm here!
Still need to buy a New Moon poster for my room, not sure if I should buy it from Amazon where it's really cheap or from FYE or Hot Topic where it's a bit more expensive, and where my Mom can't object to my purchase!

This is my very first LJ post! I joined LJ mainly to participate in discussions about the things I like (Twilight, Team Edward, South of Nowhere, Spashley, Degrassi, Joan of Arcadia... the list goes on!) I'm still trying to figure out how this all works out, like adding userpics, but I'm sure I'll catch on fast. Feeling tired, and I've got a long day at work tomorrow, so this is all for now.
